My Approach
Above everything else, I focus on building safe, trusting connections with the kids I work with. Children do their best healing when they feel comfortable, understood, and accepted, so creating that sense of safety is always my first priority. I bring a lot of warmth, playfulness, and even a little silliness into sessions to help kids relax and be themselves. I also enjoy working closely with parents, sharing practical tools and techniques that can support their child outside of therapy and strengthen the parent–child relationship.
Who I work with
I have a special interest in working with children and families who have experienced involvement in the child welfare system. My goal is to create a supportive space where families can process their experiences, strengthen relationships, and build skills that support healing and stability.
How I work
My approach to therapy is creative, engaging, and trauma-informed. I incorporate play and art to help individuals express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. I also use EMDR to help people process difficult experiences and reduce the impact of trauma. By combining these approaches, I create a supportive space where people can explore their feelings, build coping skills, and begin to heal.
Getting Started
I accept most insurances that are listed on our website. My typical office hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Telehealth availability is limited, as virtual sessions can sometimes make it more difficult for younger clients to fully engage in play-based and interactive therapeutic work. My focus is on providing supportive, developmentally appropriate care within a private practice setting where children and families can feel comfortable and supported. When appropriate, I may collaborate with parents or other supports to help reinforce progress outside of session.
