My Approach
My therapeutic style is informal, personable, and collaborative. Rooted in a person-centered approach, I aim to create a space where clients feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human connection, so I focus on building a relaxed, supportive environment where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

In our work together, I often incorporate cognitive reflection and philosophical exploration to help clients better understand themselves and their place in the world. I also draw from attachment theory to help make sense of how past experiences and relationships influence the present. My goal is to help clients gain deeper insight into their patterns, relationships, and emotional experiences so they can move forward with greater clarity and connection.
Who I work with
I work with adults aged 18 and older of all genders. Many of the clients I work with are navigating relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, and struggles with self-esteem.

I also frequently work with individuals who are exploring the impact of trauma and past relationship experiences on their current lives. Clients who feel disconnected, uncertain about themselves, or who want to better understand their emotional patterns often find this type of reflective and insight-oriented work especially helpful.
How I work
My approach to therapy is collaborative and exploratory. I work with clients to better understand their experiences, patterns, and relationships by creating space for thoughtful conversation and reflection.

Together, we look at how past experiences, attachment patterns, and personal beliefs shape how you relate to yourself and others. Through this process, clients often gain deeper self-awareness and insight into the ways their past continues to influence the present.

While therapy can involve exploring difficult emotions, the goal is always to help clients move toward a clearer understanding of themselves, healthier relationships, and a greater sense of meaning and connection in their lives.
Getting Started
I accept Wellmark BlueCross BlueShield (and affiliates), United Healthcare (and affiliates), and private pay. Sliding scale rates are available in limited circumstances.

I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, though I generally recommend in-person sessions when possible, as I believe it often allows for deeper therapeutic connection.

My typical office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. I am currently licensed to practice in the state of Iowa.
