About Me & My Training
I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Grand View University. I am currently completing my clinical training and gaining hands-on experience as I work toward becoming a licensed mental health counselor. I’ve always been interested in understanding people and the experiences that shape who we are.
My education and experiences working with others have strengthened my interest in supporting people as they navigate challenges, changes, and different stages of life. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to connect with and support clients in both languages.
As I continue growing as a counselor, one of my biggest goals is to create a space where clients feel comfortable, respected, and heard. I want you to feel that you can come as you are without fear of judgment. I believe counseling is a collaborative experience, and I value getting to know each person as an individual.
Who I'm Interested in Working With
I am interested in working with adults and young adults who may be navigating anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, relationships, identity, trauma, or life transitions. I am also interested in supporting individuals who may be working through difficult emotions, changes in their lives, or experiences that have impacted their sense of self. As a bilingual counselor-in-training, I am also interested in providing support in both English and Spanish and creating a space where clients can communicate in the language they feel most comfortable using
What You Can Expect
My hope is that you feel welcomed, heard, and respected when you meet with me. I want to provide a space where you can talk openly about what you are experiencing without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. Together, we can explore your concerns, recognize patterns, better understand your experiences, and identify goals that feel meaningful to you. I want to meet you where you are while moving at a pace that feels manageable. As an intern, I receive ongoing supervision and consultation from experienced counseling professionals. This is an important part of my training and helps me continue developing my skills while providing thoughtful and ethical care.
